Battle of the Bands 2018
We are on the final countdown to Battle of the Bands on Friday Night 16th March.
We are delighted and honored to welcome our GUEST JUDGES for Battle of the Bands 2018. They are men who are passionate about the music business, - one finding, nurturing and encouraging raw talent and another who is a musician, composer, performer and event booker.
Eugene Connolly
Eugene has worked within the music business in various guises over the past 40 years. He started off as a roadie and moved to Band Management in 1978, where he has been to the present day. Eugene has worked with the great Irish band Aslan over the years and he is currently part of "The Dublin Bowie Festival". He has his annual charity gig "A Night for AWARE" at The Olympia Theatre on on Friday 6th April
John Brereton
John has been involved in the music business all his life. He is a musician and composer and he is a member of Sack who have supported Morrissey, The Fall and Boo Rafleys, among others. John is also a member of the London Boys. He is the founder and Director of the Dublin Bowie Festival which runs in January. John is also the Event Booker for the Grand Social, a thriving music venue in Dublin City
FREE DRAW with ENTRY TICKET
We look forward to welcoming all the Bands from schools all over Dublin, their supporters and an audience who loves music. Tickets €10.00 will go on sale at Oatlands College from 6.30 pm Friday 16th March
Please note that for each entry ticket purchased we will enter you into a FREE DRAW for 2 Tickets to "The Chainsmokers & Rita Ora" at the RDS Arena, Sunday 24th June. The draw for this and a couple of other prizes will take place on the night.
